The speaker of Parliament yesterday found a prima facie case against Chritian Porter and his trust of money against the ABC. He wanted the privileges committee to investigate the issue to find out whether or not there was an actual case.
The government voted against this. They voted against their own speaker and over a 100 years of precedent. See HERE and HERE.
The question we must ask is why and there appears only one answer. If Porter is threatened with such an inquiry he will resign which would mean a by-election.
The stink which was enveloping the government just got a lot worse.
It isn't a vote changer by itself however it could be when added to many other actions.
It is the action of a party in power for far too long
