I'm wrong Test cricket is alive and well

I have been very gloomy about test cricket of late.

I may have been wrong.

First the Windies were magniant in beating Australia. Joseph has been a revelation. Bowling almost 150k in his 11 over with a broken toe and wiping out the Australian batting. Sinclair with is batting, bowling and fielding. Indeed the utter exuberance of the windies team is catching. You simply want to watch and catch the vibe. And to think they had only 3 and 1/3 test bowlers and still beat us.

It was a victory for the ages. If they find another fast bowler and then get some steel in their batting they will be formidable.

The Poms beating India was not the same as they have been consistent since adopting 'bazball', It is highly entertaining for spectators ( both batting and bowling.) Stokes showed why I rate him so highly as a captain. He learned from his mistakes of the first innings, made strategic field placings, Inspired Hartley to a match winning performance after being hit everywhere in the first innings and what about the run out.

Now we need Pakistan, SA, Sri Lanka and the Kiwis to improve!
