Wholesale prices are 47% lower than this time last year. Why you ask? renewables. As they further increase and coal/ gas further decrease this should continue.
Ask another question. Why aren't investors building coal fired power stations if they are the cheapest form of power with their ears pinned back. afterall no-one is stopping them! Because they are not the cheapest and take a long time to build. If nuclear is so attractive why are investors knocking the door down in protest for not being able to build them. Because they are easily the most expensive form of power. Duh
