For the first time we got a decent pitch and thus we got one of the great tests of history. Until England actually won you were not certain which side would win although England were in the best position most but not all the time. Until Wood hooked a six I was not sure England could do it.
It is easy to see test cricket is more enjoyable to watch when the ball is on top. It makes you appreciate good batting more.
Wood was a revelation, how unlucky are England to have not one but three 90 mph bowlers injured, and surely Tongue will play in Manchester!
Warner is on thin ice and will Green come back into the team? England need to think about their no.3. how brilliant was it in putting ali at no.3! Will Tongue or Anderson come in for Robinson and should Fakes come in for Bairstow.
