I live in a battleaxe block. We have 5 neighbours.
We bought it a long time ago principally because there were no chinese buyers. They do not like such blocks.
When there was little traffic it was fine and now there is a lot more traffic ( because of the number of apartments built) the alterations done by our closest neighbour means we hear little of the noise.
This very house was recently sold. As it is I met the new owners one saturday morning after coming back from the Fruit and Vegetable shop ( easily the best in Sydney as Chinese,Koreans, Indians and Sri Lankans like fresh fruit and vegetables for meals each day).
I asked a number of questions but got no answers, The husband proceeded to do things on his smart phone.
He then showed me his phone.
On it the message said 'We do not speak english' !!
