A jury of his peers has found Trump guilty of sexual abuse and libel.
A few points that I have gathered from people who should know.
The jury thought Trump the liar not his accuser.I find this unsurprising given Trump lies like no-one else.
His lawyer was way too aggressive against the lady making the accusations. this worked in the 70s and maybe the 80s but not these days.
Trump is one of the worst witnesses one can get. his testimony in the deposition was terrible. He mistook Carroll for one of his wives showing she was someone he would fancy. He also essentially gave the prosecution as much ammunition as they needed. this shows he not only has 'senior ' moments but also he is very stupid. THIS article highlights this.
It is no wonder he was not called as a witness nor will he in any further trials.
People who want to win the presidency need to win over voters who are registered voters of the other party and independents. This major loss for Trump makes this more unlikely
