There is no alternative

 Following up on what I showed yesterday I am wondering what climate denialists think they are doing?

As we saw yesterday nuclear power has no future. Neither does coal fired power stations. They are too costly, unreliable and take some 8 years to build. They only make money at night as well. Ever wonder why no -one in the private sector will touch them with a bargepole ( unless there is a large subsidy.)

Gas is quite costly but quicker to build and good to have if wind, solar and water do not produce enough electricity. They are not a long term producer of electricity because of the cost.

This merely leaves renewables. As Margaret Thatcher would say TINA. 

Despite all this climate denialists are up to their ears in trying to stop both renewable projects and transmission lines needed as well. If they are successful we will have blackouts however we we will never have a viable electricity industry.

The main question is are they really that stupid or do they actually believe their own gaslighting.
