The hapless Immigration Minister should go.
A Minister is not merely another public servant. It seems Giles thinks he is. He has to be agile on his feet politically, He needs to ask questions of his department and deal with the answers.
It wasn't his fault the high court rules as it did. however his reaction was slow and lacked any sort of understanding of the topic. He seems afraid to say once people have served their sentence they are free to do what they want to do under certain conditions.
He has gone into po9ilitics but does not seem to understand it at all.
