The budget

In a word disappointing. I was expecting a very small deficit around 0.1-0.2% od GDP. 1% od GDP was much greater than I thought. 

I do not think it will lead to higher interest rates as nominal GDP will hit the floor but budget repair is needed and we are not getting it now.

In political terms they win the election and then produce a harsh budget?? I don't think so.

This is a party who seem incapable of believing they can win a political fight on a substantial issue.
