I will say a few things but see Ian Millhiser HERE and HERE and Mark Stern HERE.
They could have heard this 'bananas' case well before this but said it should go to the court of appeals. The Cof A wrote an unanimous very well written opinion that the Supreme court could have left. No they left it two weeks to say they would hear opinions on this crazy case . All in all it is unlikely this case will finish as ALL yanks need to hear from a jury on this until AFTER the election.
Just remember it takes 5 members to stay the present case. ( Why would they stay the case when everyone knows it is bonkers???) Also remember the disgraceful Clarence Thomas has not recused himself despite his wife being up to her neck in the insurrection.
There are two reasons why this went ahead. They are Thomas and alito. Neither wants to die in office like Ginsberg. The Supreme Court has allowed Trump the best of circumstances so he might get elected.
Just remember who resigned after the Supreme court elected George Bush
It is disgraceful.
don't expect this supreme court to rein in legally Trump if he does get elected.
